Time-Aid runs in the background while you work, logging your activity for you. The automatic logging means you can produce an invoice report or timesheet that is complete and accurate, days or even weeks after the fact. Solo and small businesses such as consultants, accountants, lawyers and other fee-for-service professionals use Time-Aid as their primary billing information system. The reports can attach to invoices or be copied into the accounting or project management system. The accuracy and simplicity of the system ensures that Time-Aid users never miss a billable minute. Features: Time-Aid automatically logs computer & non-computer activity in the background while you work, without using timers, calendars or pop-ups. Just work as usual. When you are ready to do your invoice report or time sheet, Time-Aid highlights your main activities and you simply assign log items to the clients and tasks. The invoicing report or time sheet is created in minutes and is completely accurate even if you are days or weeks late doing it. Privacy and security features include Do-Not-Log and Delete options, and all information is securely stored on your PC not in the 'cloud'.

How it works: As you work, Time-Aid logs the title of each window (not the contents) and tracks the time that each window was active. It only logs the time you are active in a window, and does not log inactive background windows. This activity log is then displayed in time blocks (configurable to between 5 minutes and 30 minutes) that look a lot like a day-planner. Logged items are intelligently split across multiple blocks and items with the greatest duration are at the top of the block. If you are doing work that does not involve the computer, you can configure a reminder. When you return to your PC, Time-Aid will prompt you to describe that non-computer activity. This prompt is optional and can be configured to display only after a specified amount of non-computer time has passed.
